Soy protein isolate is one of the cheapest complete proteins you can buy in India, and one of the purest. Good soy isolates reach 85–87% protein per scoop — higher than most flavoured whey — at a lower price per gram.
We ranked the four soy protein isolates in our catalogue whose label data holds together, on cost per 100g of protein, then purity per scoop.
Prices and nutrition figures were taken from our catalogue on 29 September 2026. Nutrition comes from each product's label as listed by the seller. We are a data platform, not a laboratory, and did not test these products ourselves — here is how we handle product data. Prices move daily, so check the live price on each product page.
The Ranking
| # | Product | Pack | Price | Protein / scoop | Purity | Cost / serving | Cost / 100g protein |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | MyFitFuel Plant Soy Protein Isolate 90 | 1 kg | ₹1,588 | 32.7g of 38g | 86% | ₹61 | ₹187 |
| 2 | Myprotein Soy Protein Isolate (Unflavoured) | 1 kg | ₹1,823 | 27g of 31g | 87% | ₹55 | ₹205 |
| 3 | Sharrets Soy Protein Isolate 90% (Unflavoured) | 1 kg | ₹2,238 | 26g of 30g | 87% | ₹68 | ₹261 |
| 4 | Healthvit Soy Protein Isolate (Unflavoured) | 500 g | ₹1,080 | 27g of 31g | 87% | ₹72 | ₹267 |
All four sit at the top of our A tier (75–87%) on the purity tier scale, at 86–87% protein per scoop — just short of A+ (88%). The "90" in two of the names describes the isolate ingredient (SPI 90); once it is in a scoop with other ingredients, the scoop works out a little lower, which is what the table shows.
For comparison, the median whey protein in our catalogue costs about ₹370 per 100g of protein. Every soy isolate here is well under that.
A note on ratings. Soy isolates have far fewer customer reviews in India than whey — most of these have a handful or none — so we have not used ratings to rank them. Treat the review counts on each product page with that in mind.
The Picks
1. MyFitFuel Plant Soy Protein Isolate 90 — Best Value
₹187 per 100g of protein, the lowest of any product in this ranking, with 32.7g of protein per 38g scoop (86%). It is flavoured (Rich Chocolate), which most people will find easier to drink than plain soy. Prices for this product vary noticeably between listings, so compare before you buy.
2. Myprotein Soy Protein Isolate (Unflavoured) — Best Unflavoured
27g of protein in a 31g scoop (87%) at ₹205 per 100g, and the lowest cost per serving here (₹55). Unflavoured, so it is the most versatile for cooking or blending with fruit.

Soy Isolate vs Whey vs Other Plant Proteins
- Against whey: soy isolate is usually cheaper per gram of protein and at least as pure. Whey is higher in leucine and absorbs faster, and has more research behind it for muscle building — but soy isolate is a complete protein and a sound choice, especially if you avoid dairy.
- Against pea protein: similar purity and price. Soy has the more complete amino acid profile; pea is the choice for people who avoid soy. Our best plant protein ranking covers pea and blends.
- Concerns about soy: the worries about hormones come mostly from animal studies and very high intakes. We cover what the human evidence says in is soy protein good or bad?.
How to Choose
- Look for "isolate" in the name. Soy protein concentrate and "soy protein" health drinks are often 50–70% protein, with added sugar. The products here are isolates.
- Compare cost per 100g of protein. Tub sizes and scoops differ, and a smaller scoop always makes the price per serving look better. How many servings are really in 1kg explains why.
- Unflavoured or flavoured. Plain soy isolate has a beany taste in water but is fine in milk, smoothies, dal or dough. If you will drink it with water, pick a flavoured one.
- Check the ingredient list. It should be soy protein isolate and little else — sometimes an emulsifier, sweetener and flavour. Added amino acids are a warning sign: how to spot amino spiking.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is the best soy protein isolate in India?
In our catalogue on 29 September 2026, MyFitFuel Plant Soy Protein Isolate 90 was the cheapest per gram of protein (₹187 per 100g, 86% purity), and Myprotein Soy Protein Isolate Unflavoured was the best unflavoured option (87%, ₹205 per 100g).
Is soy protein isolate as good as whey for muscle?
It is a complete protein and supports muscle growth when you eat enough protein overall. Whey has slightly more leucine and more research behind it, so it has a small edge per gram, but soy isolate is often cheaper — you can close the gap by taking a slightly larger serving.
Is soy protein isolate safe for men?
For normal intakes, yes. Human studies have not found that soy protein at typical supplement doses lowers testosterone. The concerns mostly come from animal studies and very high intakes — see our full guide to soy protein.
