How ChooseSahi Verifies Product Data

We ask you to trust our numbers over brand marketing — so you deserve to know exactly where those numbers come from. This is our full data methodology, including its limits.

Where the Data Comes From

Every product record starts from primary label data: the nutrition panel and ingredient list printed on the product, as published on brand websites and major marketplace listings. For each of our 8,000+ products we capture 35+ fields — protein per serving, serving size, servings per pack, price, carbs, fat, sugar, BCAAs, certifications, FSSAI status, and more.

How We Normalize It

Raw label data is designed to be hard to compare. Our engine standardizes it:

  • Purity % = protein ÷ serving size × 100 — this defeats the scoop-size games brands play
  • Cost per serving and cost per 100 g protein — so a 1 kg and a 2 kg pack compare honestly
  • Tier grades (S/A/B/C) — computed from purity and formulation, never assigned manually

How We Cross-Check

  • Ingredient-order analysis flags likely amino spiking (cheap aminos high in the list)
  • Calorie math checks — stated calories should match protein/carbs/fat within tolerance; big gaps get flagged
  • Rating data comes from verified marketplace buyer ratings, not our opinions

Our Honest Limitations

Transparency cuts both ways, so here's what we can't promise:

  • Labels change. Brands reformulate; a listing can lag the newest pack. Always confirm the physical label before consuming.
  • Some minor fields are estimated. Where a label omits secondary values (e.g. sodium on some listings), we may estimate conservatively from category norms. Core fields — protein, serving size, price — are never invented.
  • A small set of niche products lack complete data because no reliable source exists; we show what we have rather than guessing.
  • We don't lab-test products ourselves. We track third-party certifications where they exist; we are a data platform, not a laboratory.

What We Never Do

No paid placements, no sponsored scores, no brand-edited listings. The same math runs on every product — advertiser or not (we have none). Our affiliate links never touch rankings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does ChooseSahi get its product data?

From primary label data — nutrition panels and ingredient lists as published on brand sites and major marketplace listings — captured into 35+ standardized fields per product, then normalized for fair comparison.

Does ChooseSahi lab-test supplements?

No — we're a data platform, not a laboratory. We track third-party certifications where they exist and run consistency checks (calorie math, ingredient-order red flags), but we don't run our own lab assays.

How accurate is the ChooseSahi database?

Core fields (protein, serving size, price, purity) come straight from label data and are our top priority. Labels change and some minor fields are conservatively estimated when unpublished — so always confirm the physical label before consuming.

Can brands pay to improve their scores?

No. Scores are computed by the same formulas for every product, and we take no sponsorships or paid placements. Affiliate links exist to fund the site but have zero influence on rankings.
